Ziad Osman is Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Beirut Arab University. He received a B.S. from Beirut Arab University in 1987, and an M.S. and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida at Gainesville in 1991 and 1994, respectively. Afterwards he worked as a postdoc at the University of Florida for a year. Since 1995 he has been a faculty member in the Faculty of Engineering at Beirut Arab University. His research interests centered on semiconductor photonics, image/text processing and encryption.. Prof. Osman is a member of IEEE and the IEEE BAU Student Chapter Counselor.
